September 2010 - Ashden Awards – applications for the 2011 invited.
In January 2010, Emma was appointed as a UK judge for the Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy. The 2010 overall UK winner was the Isle of Eigg Heritage Trust, with other winners including Suffolk County Council (for their wood-fired boiler replacement programme in schools) and Northwards Housing (for their programme of improving energy efficiency in hard to treat homes). September 2010 - Sustainability review for London councils
During the spring and summer, Emma worked with CAG Consultants on a project for London Councils which involved undertaking a sustainability and climate change service review across all the London boroughs. The project involved carrying out detailed interviews with representatives of all the London boroughs. A summary of the results has now been produced – anyone interested in seeing a copy should contact Emma – emma.jones@impetusconsult.co.uk

September 2010 - HHSRS and fuel poverty
Emma is currently leading a project that has been funded by Eaga Charitable Trust and the Energy Efficiency Partnership for Homes to produce guidance for local authorities on how the Housing Health and Safety Rating System can be used to cut fuel poverty in the private rented sector. September 2010 - Low carbon planning evidence base
Working in partnership with ClimateWorks, Emma has just produced an update to Impetus’s 2008 reports for Milton Keynes council on targets for renewable energy generation in new developments.

September 2010 - LCLIP summaries
Emma has just completed an LIA assignment for Climate East Midlands which involved producing summary documents of the regional nine LCLIP reports, as well as a case study on the unique joint approach taken by the nine upper tier authorities in the region. The documents should be available publicly in the next few weeks; anyone interested in receiving copies should contact Emma – emma.jones@impetusconsult.co.uk
